Attendance
If a cadet is unable to attend a training night, or an activity they signed up for, they are expected to notify the Squadron prior to the event’s start. The best method of notification is to e-mail 699air@cadets.gc.ca.

Music Clinic - January 24th, 2026. For those Band members who signed up. Timings are 0800 to 1630 hrs. Location is NAIT (exact address to follow next week). Dress is C5. Lunch will be provided.

COs Parade - Wednesday, February 4th, 2026. Timings are 1815hrs - 2110hrs. The location is the church. Dress is C1 (Blue uniform with medals). For new cadets who don’t have a uniform, dress is a white shirt with dark pants. No jeans or sweatpants.

Cadet Media Positions - Wednesday, February 4th, 2026 is the deadline to submit. We are looking for candidates to join our cadet media team. Due to the high demand of applicants, we will be asking cadets to make a submission for evaluation and selection. Interested cadets are asked to create an Instagram post with 3-5 photos that they took along with a related informative caption. All submissions are to be sent to liam.funnell@cadets.gc.ca for review.

Marksmanship Zone Competition - For those on the competitive marksmanship team. Saturday, February 14th, 2026. Timings are 0745hrs - 1645hrs. The location is Jefferson Armories. Dress is civvies. Lunch will be provided.
Attendance - If a cadet is unable to attend a training night, a training activity or an optional activity that they signed up for, they must notify the squadron of that absence. For training nights, this notice must be received prior to 1600hrs for an excused absence to be given. Please e-mail 699air@cadets.gc.ca to be excused. This applies to any cadets who participate in optional weekly activities.​
Supply - For any unresolved supply issues please fill out the measurement form, write what you need, and email it to 699air. All uniform parts being returned must be washed first (other than the wedge).
Uniform Instructions and Abbreviations
Cadet 365 Outside of Canada Use - Please do not access your Cadet 365 account when travelling outside of Canada or using a Virtual Private Network (VPN). Depending on what servers you use it may lead to a security issue, which will shut down your account and initiate an investigation by the Cadet 365 security section.

Cadet 365 - Have been distributed to new cadets. Please use the information provided to them to sign in to Cadet 365.

Duty Flight - The duty flight for September is Band and Flag Party. Each month, one flight is assigned to be the duty flight for that month. The flight helps with set up at the start of the night and clean up at the end of the night. Cadets in the duty flight should be arriving no later than 1815hrs on a training night and are not to leave at the end of the night until their flight commander gives them permission to leave.
