Attendance
If a cadet is unable to attend a training night, or an activity they signed up for, they are expected to notify the Squadron prior to the event’s start. The best method of notification is to e-mail 699air@cadets.gc.ca.

Halloween Night - Next Wednesday, Oct 29th, the Squadron is hosting a Halloween event. Dress for the night is costume or civvies. Third period, there will be a costume contest, with the top 3 costumes winning prizes!
Virtual Music Theory Workshop - Saturday, November 1st, 2025. NW Region will be running a virtual music theory workshop. This is only for Band cadets who have experience playing an instrument. For more information, see Capt Sand.

First Aid Course - The Squadron will be running a Standard First Aid course on the weekend of Nov 14 – 16. Location is Aldergrove Community Centre. Timings are: 14 Nov 1830-2100 hrs; 15 Nov 0800-1600 hrs; 16 Nov 0800-1200 hrs. Cadets MUST attend all sessions to receive the qualification. Sign up list will be posted next Wed, first come, first served.

Poppy Sales 8 Nov - The Squadron will be assisting the Jasper Place Legion with Poppy Sales on Saturday, 8 Nov. Cadets will be at various locations in the west end. More details to follow. To participate, cadets must have a full blue uniform.

699 Kit Shop - Find your 699 swag here! Hoodies, sweat pants, t-shirts, hats etc. Show your squadron pride! Wear them to sports nights, camps, school. The kit shop will be open for orders from Oct 7th to Nov 7th. After the online store is closed the orders will be placed. They will be ready for pick up end of beginning of December so you have them for Christmas if you wish to make them presents. Feel free to place orders for the whole family. Attendance - If a cadet is unable to attend a training night, a training activity or an optional activity that they signed up for, they must notify the squadron of that absence. For training nights, this notice must be received prior to 1800hrs for an excused absence to be given. Please e-mail 699air@cadets.gc.ca to be excused.
Supply - For any unresolved supply issues please fill out the measurement form, write what you need, and email it to 699air. All uniform parts being returned must be washed first (other than the wedge).

Cadet 365 - Have been distributed to new cadets. Please use the information provided to them to sign in to Cadet 365.

Duty Flight - The duty flight for September is Flight 2, Cronus Flight. Each month, one flight is assigned to be the duty flight for that month. The flight helps with set up at the start of the night and clean up at the end of the night. Cadets in the duty flight should be arriving no later than 1815hrs on a training night and are not to leave at the end of the night until their flight commander gives them permission to leave.
